Arsenal’s star player, Bukayo Saka, was seen with his teammates as they departed from the team hotel in preparation for their highly anticipated Premier League match against Manchester City. This appearance is particularly notable as Saka has not played since suffering a hamstring injury on August 23 during a match against Leeds United. His fitness had been a major concern leading up to the game at the Emirates Stadium.

Prior to the weekend, Saka had not participated in full training sessions, which raised doubts about his involvement in the match. Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta stated on Friday that he would provide an update on Saka’s status following Saturday’s training session. “If there is a chance [that they play against City], it will be after tomorrow’s session because they haven’t done anything yet,” Arteta remarked when discussing Saka, alongside other players with injury concerns.

In addition to Saka, Martin Odegaard was absent from the squad as he continues to recover from a shoulder injury sustained in a recent Champions League match against Athletic Club. However, Ben White was seen with the team after missing the game in Bilbao, which suggests a possible return to action for him.

Arteta emphasized the importance of assessing the players’ conditions closely. “Everything has been modified so far for them, and there are still a few things to clear,” he noted. The final decision regarding their participation will be made shortly before the match.

Along with Saka and White, William Saliba was also present with the squad on Sunday morning. The announcement of the Arsenal team that will face Manchester City is set for 15:15 local time, just over an hour before kick-off at 16:30.

As the match approaches, fans and analysts alike are eager to see how Saka’s potential return, along with the rest of the squad, will impact Arsenal’s performance against a formidable opponent in Manchester City.
