Clubs Clash in 12th Round of Meridianbet 1. CFL Today

Today’s matches in the Meridianbet 1. CFL promise an exciting day of football as clubs vie for crucial points in the 12th round. The action kicks off at 15:00 local time with a battle between Bokelj and Jezero in Kotor. Following this, at 16:30, Jedinstvo will play host to OFK Mladost in Bijelo Polje. The day’s fixtures also include a clash between Petrovac and Sutjeska at 17:00, followed by Buducnost taking on Arsenal at 18:00. Another critical match at the same time features Mornar facing the league leaders, Decic.
With half of the league sensing the closeness of the top positions, the games today carry significant implications. Mornar, under the leadership of Vesko Steševic, remains unbeaten in their last six matches, recording three wins and three draws. Heading into their match against Decic, Mornar aims to capitalize on a recent surge in form.
Petar Vukčević, a player for Mornar, expressed confidence about their prospects against Decic, stating, “We needed some time to adjust to the new coach’s vision. So far, things are going well.” He highlighted the team’s newfound strength, particularly in defense, which was previously a concern. With hopes of securing all three points, Vukčević emphasized, “We are on a positive streak, and I expect to continue this against Decic.”
Contrastingly, Decic, while sitting at the top of the table, has a negative goal difference, a rarity for a league leader. This statistic raises questions about their defensive capabilities. As Vukčević noted, “It means the opponent is vulnerable, and we see a chance to win.” He acknowledged Decic’s status as the top team but urged caution, reminding that they are still a formidable opponent with numerous experienced players.
Buducnost, currently in fourth place, also seeks to close the gap with the leaders. After a notable victory in the Montenegrin derby, they will face Arsenal, aiming to reduce their four-point deficit. Dejan Vukićević, the coach of Buducnost, remarked on the positive atmosphere in training following their recent success. He said, “It remains to be seen if this break has helped us, but we have had a great month together.”
Vukićević expressed the importance of focusing on the immediate challenge against Arsenal, stating, “Our first test is Arsenal. We have some issues with player availability, but our priority is to win.” Buducnost’s upcoming schedule includes two matches against Decic next week, first in the Cup and then in the league.
Petrovac, currently positioned second in the league table, will face Sutjeska, who are just one point behind. Zdravko Dragicević, the head coach of Petrovac, is determined to extend their positive results against Sutjeska. He commented, “Every match is a story of its own. We know it will be difficult against Sutjeska, but we are prepared.”
The match between Bokelj and Jezero adds an intriguing subplot. Bokelj has struggled at home this year, with their last victory at Vrmcem occurring on December 7, 2024. Vladimir Savićević, the coach of Bokelj, acknowledged the urgency of today’s match, stating, “Every game until the end of the season is imperative for us. We are facing significant squad issues, but we are pushing for victory.”
As the league continues to unfold, today’s matches are set to play a pivotal role in shaping the standings. Fans can look forward to an afternoon filled with competitive spirit and the potential for shifts in the league hierarchy.
