Millie Bobby Brown has publicly addressed her new role as a mother for the first time, emphasizing the importance of protecting her daughter’s privacy. In an interview with *British Vogue*, the 21-year-old actress, known for her role in *Stranger Things*, discussed her decision to keep her daughter out of the public eye following her and husband Jake Bongiovi’s adoption announcement in August 2023.

During the interview, Brown responded to a question about her daughter’s personality but quickly clarified her stance on privacy with “fiery conviction.” She stated, “For me, it’s really important to protect her and her story until she’s old enough to potentially one day share it herself. It’s not my place to purposefully put her in the spotlight unwillingly.”

Brown reiterated her commitment to safeguarding her child’s privacy, noting that her daughter is “so little” right now. She explained that as parents, their responsibility is to shield her from the media attention that often surrounds celebrities. “We have no plans to share her name until she’s ready to decide for herself,” Brown added.

### A Journey of Parenthood

While Brown remains tight-lipped about details regarding her daughter, she shared her joy about starting a family with Bongiovi. Describing the experience as “a beautiful, amazing journey,” she reflected, “She’s taught us so much already. Perspective is a huge thing. The smaller things in life are so much more precious. Our days are filled with lots of cuddles and laughter and love. It’s just endless joy.”

On parenting duties, Brown highlighted the equitable partnership she shares with Bongiovi, stating they are “50-50 on everything.” She expressed her gratitude for Bongiovi’s involvement, calling him “the most amazing dad.”

The couple announced the adoption through a heartfelt statement on Instagram, expressing their excitement to embark on this new chapter. “This summer, we welcomed our sweet baby girl through adoption,” Brown wrote. “We are beyond excited to embark on this beautiful next chapter of parenthood in both peace and privacy.”

### Future Family Plans

Brown had previously discussed her aspirations for a large family during a March episode of the *SmartLess* podcast. She articulated her desire to balance her career as an actress and producer with her personal life, stating, “Of course, I want to focus on really establishing myself, but I also find it’s so important to start a family.”

Both she and Bongiovi come from large families, and Brown expressed a strong desire for her children to have siblings. “Jake was like, ‘We cannot do that until we get married.’ So that was his thing. And my thing was, ‘I really want a family. I want a big family.’”

The couple officially tied the knot in a secret ceremony in May 2024, attended by close friends and family, followed by a larger celebration in Italy later that year.

As Brown embarks on this new chapter of motherhood, her commitment to her daughter’s privacy and well-being remains a top priority, reflecting her desire to create a nurturing environment away from the public eye.
