New Epstein Files Reveal Andrew’s Requests for “Inappropriate Friends”

Documents recently released from the Epstein files indicate that Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor sought the assistance of Ghislaine Maxwell to arrange meetings with what he described as “inappropriate friends.” These documents shed light on Andrew’s communications with Maxwell, who is currently serving a 20-year prison sentence for sex-trafficking crimes. The emails, dated between 2001 and 2002, appear to deepen the scrutiny surrounding the former prince’s ties to the convicted financier Jeffrey Epstein, which have been under examination since allegations first surfaced in 2011.

The latest batch of documents, released by the US Department of Justice, includes exchanges that suggest a close relationship between Andrew and Maxwell. In one email dated August 16, 2001, an author identified as “A” requests, “Have you found me some new inappropriate friends?” Maxwell’s response, sent the following day, stated: “I have only been able to find appropriate friends.” These communications are part of a larger narrative concerning Andrew’s connections to sex offenders, including Peter Nygard.

In the context of these revelations, the Metropolitan Police in the UK contacted the FBI last month to inquire whether there were any ongoing investigations related to Andrew’s associations with Epstein. Andrew has consistently denied any wrongdoing, stating in October that he “vigorously deny[s] the accusations against me.” He has not provided comments regarding this latest release of files.

The documents also include references to other high-profile figures. Notably, they mention Donald Trump, with an assertion from a senior US attorney that Trump was on a flight in the 1990s with Epstein and a young woman. There is no evidence suggesting the woman was a victim of any crime, and Trump has denied any wrongdoing.

Additional disclosures include an image of a card allegedly sent by Epstein to Larry Nassar, the former US gymnastics team doctor convicted of sexually abusing numerous young athletes. The card reportedly states, “Our president also shares our love of young, nubile girls,” and was postmarked just days after Epstein’s death in August 2019.

The newly released files also reveal issues regarding their security, as some redactions were found to be removable through simple techniques, raising concerns about the integrity of the documents.

Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor has largely remained out of the public eye following news in October regarding his removal of royal titles and relocation from the Royal Lodge in Windsor. He has faced ongoing scrutiny since accepting a downgraded role as a trade envoy after his ties to Epstein became public knowledge. This scrutiny intensified after a photograph surfaced showing him with his arm around Virginia Giuffre, then 17, alongside Maxwell.

As the new disclosures emerge, there are calls for Andrew to cooperate with investigations into Epstein’s network. Keir Starmer, the leader of the UK Labour Party, has urged him to assist with congressional inquiries aimed at obtaining justice for Epstein’s victims. In Washington, Chuck Schumer, the Senate minority leader, has requested that the justice department release information regarding “at least 10 potential Jeffrey Epstein co-conspirators” currently under investigation.

The implications of these revelations continue to unfold, with public interest and scrutiny likely to remain high as investigations progress.
