Congressman Claims Underwater UFO Bases Exist Near Bahamas

A prominent US politician has asserted that alien life forms may be residing in “five or six” underwater bases located off the coast of the Bahamas. Congressman Tim Burchett, a member of the House Oversight Committee that oversees UFO sightings, expressed his belief that advanced extraterrestrial entities have potentially inhabited deep-sea regions of Earth for generations. He highlighted frequent sightings of unidentified craft in specific areas beneath the ocean’s surface.
Burchett noted that the vastness of the ocean remains largely unexplored, suggesting it could be an ideal hiding spot for unknown entities. He referenced reports from US Navy personnel who have pursued underwater craft that allegedly move at astonishing speeds, far exceeding current military capabilities. In a recent video clip shared on X, he commented, “We have naval personnel telling me we have these sightings, these underwater craft they’re chasing that go hundreds of miles an hour, and the best we got is something that does maybe a little under forty miles an hour. So I got a lot of questions about that stuff.”
This is not the first time Burchett has voiced concerns regarding governmental transparency. In 2023, he informed Newsweek that he believed the US Government is concealing knowledge about extraterrestrial life, claiming authorities have recovered unidentified aerial phenomena (UAP) and possibly even beings. He alleged that efforts have been made to reverse-engineer these craft to decipher their advanced technologies.
Burchett’s remarks have drawn considerable attention, with his video clip amassing nearly two million views. Following his assertions, Dr. Michael Salla, an author and researcher focused on extraterrestrial phenomena, echoed Burchett’s claims. He identified the area of the Atlantic Ocean near the Bahamas as a likely location for these underwater alien bases, citing discussions with credible whistleblowers, including military and government officials.
Dr. Salla referred to a secret underwater facility operated by the US Navy, known as AUTEC, which he likened to the infamous Area 51. He described its proximity to a deep oceanic region called Tongue of the Ocean, which drops off sharply to depths of around 3,000 feet. “It’s ideal for a submarine,” he stated, emphasizing that this location has been the site of numerous UFO sightings.
In November 2023, Congress was presented with eyewitness accounts of mysterious craft emerging from or submerging into the ocean. Investigator Michael Shellenberger reported that one source claimed to have seen footage of an orb rising from the sea, only to be met by another orb. This prompted questions from Congresswoman Lauren Boebert regarding the technological capabilities observed in these oceanic UAPs, to which Shellenberger responded, “It seems like they all do.”
Shellenberger also revealed that the Pentagon has been running a clandestine UFO retrieval and reverse engineering program named Immaculate Constellation. He suggested that a significant amount of evidence, potentially amounting to thousands of pieces, demonstrates the existence of UAPs. “What the American people need to know is that the military and intelligence community are sitting on a huge amount of visual and other information,” he stated, emphasizing that this evidence includes high-resolution images and videos.
Adding to the discourse, Bob McGwire, a professor with the Institute for Defense Analyses, shared his experience of a close encounter while serving aboard the USS Hampton, a US Navy fast-attack submarine. He recounted an incident where the submarine’s sonar detected an object traveling through the water at speeds exceeding the speed of sound. According to McGwire, no manmade craft could achieve such velocity, as sound travels significantly faster in water than in air.
The engagement lasted only a few seconds, during which McGwire reported hearing a distinct sound of something passing by the submarine. Despite the submarine’s own speed limitations, he noted that the unidentified craft “blew by” them, prompting an immediate alert from a crew member monitoring the sonar. McGwire, who had kept this information classified for decades, decided to speak out amid growing interest from the Pentagon regarding military encounters with UAPs.
This discussion has gained traction following the release of a video showing US Naval personnel aboard the USS Omaha encountering an orb-shaped UFO off the coast of San Diego in 2019. The footage depicts crew members reacting in astonishment as the object splashed into the ocean after performing a controlled flight.
While the Pentagon has refuted Shellenberger’s claims, public interest remains high. Many individuals online have expressed their thoughts on these revelations. Comments range from skepticism about the nature of these underwater craft to suggestions that they might be inter-dimensional in origin, entering our dimension through portals.
As the dialogue surrounding unidentified aerial phenomena continues to evolve, the implications of Burchett’s claims, combined with corroborating accounts from military personnel and researchers, keep the discussion of extraterrestrial life and advanced technologies firmly in the public eye.
