Road Closure in Gloucester Following Afternoon Collision
A road in Gloucester city centre was closed following a two-vehicle collision that occurred at approximately 4:30 PM on March 11, 2024. According to a spokesperson for Gloucestershire Police, emergency services, including the police and the South Western Ambulance Service, were promptly dispatched to the scene.
The accident took place on Stroud Road, near the junction with Bristol Road. Authorities have implemented a road closure in the area, which remains in effect as of 6:45 PM on the same day. Local residents and commuters are advised to seek alternative routes while the situation is assessed.
The police spokesperson confirmed, “We were called at 4:30 PM to reports of a two-vehicle collision on Stroud Road, near the Bristol Road junction. The road remains closed at this time and may do for a while.” As the investigation continues, further updates will be provided.
The South Western Ambulance Service has also been contacted for additional information regarding any injuries or further implications of the collision.
