Major Street Renovation Begins in Spuž, Funded by Budget Amendment

Construction has officially commenced on the main street in Spuž, a project deemed one of the most significant developments for the area in recent decades. The announcement was made by Duško Stjepović, a member of the Democratic Party, who emphasized the importance of this renovation for local residents.
The project, valued at €430,634.26 including VAT, is expected to be completed within 60 calendar days from the start date. Stjepović explained that funding for this initiative was secured through an amendment to the 2025 Budget Law of Montenegro, underscoring the project’s relevance to the community.
According to statements issued by the Democratic Party, Stjepović, who also serves as a councilor in the Danilovgrad parliament, expressed his satisfaction in facilitating this vital infrastructure improvement. He highlighted the lack of investment in Spuž over the past decades, stating, “This is a way to restore Spuž after years of neglect.”
Stjepović further noted that he believes the current local government has accomplished more in a short period than its predecessors did during multiple terms. He specifically referenced the long-promised Martinićki Path, indicating a commitment to enhancing Danilovgrad’s development and ensuring it receives the recognition it deserves.
This renovation of the main street in Spuž is not only a local priority but also a step towards revitalizing an area that has faced years of underinvestment. With the project officially underway, residents can anticipate significant improvements that aim to enhance both accessibility and aesthetics in their community.
