Montenegro Government Secures €30.7 Million for Medical Supplies

The Ministry of Health in Montenegro has confirmed a stable supply of medicines and medical materials. On October 15, 2025, the Montenegro Government approved the initiation of a procurement process to acquire essential drugs, medical supplies, and equipment for public health institutions and pharmacies operated by Montefarm.
The total amount allocated for this procurement is €30,666,850.31. This funding aims to ensure that public health facilities and pharmacies are adequately supplied with necessary medicines and medical materials until the end of 2025. According to the Ministry, the procurement procedures will be carried out in accordance with current regulations and government decisions.
The Ministry emphasized that the supply of medicines and medical materials remains uninterrupted, stating, “All activities are being conducted in a planned and coordinated manner to make all necessary therapies and health services available to citizens.” The procurement process will be managed by the Public Health Institution “Montefarm” in collaboration with the Health Insurance Fund of Montenegro and the Ministry of Health.
Montefarm is reportedly continuing its procurement and delivery processes without interruption to its pharmacies and public health institutions. The Ministry has reassured the public that no delays in supply are expected for the remainder of the year.
In its statement, the Ministry of Health indicated that the government and relevant health institutions are consistently taking necessary measures to ensure that healthcare facilities in Montenegro are regularly supplied. This commitment guarantees that citizens have access to all necessary therapies and medical supplies.
The proactive steps taken by the Montenegro Government reflect a dedication to maintaining public health standards and ensuring that essential medical services are readily available to the population.
