President Tinubu Visits Lagos for Key Meetings Ahead of Independence Anniversary

President Bola Tinubu has arrived in Lagos for a working visit, coinciding with Nigeria’s preparations for a modest celebration of its 65th Independence Anniversary. The President’s trip follows his attendance at the coronation of Oba Rashidi Ladoja, the Olubadan of Ibadanland, in Oyo State.

During his time in Lagos, President Tinubu is scheduled to meet with influential figures from Nigeria’s private sector as well as senior government officials. These discussions aim to address key economic strategies and foster collaboration between the government and business leaders. The President’s adviser on information and strategy, Bayo Onanuga, confirmed these engagements in a recent statement.

In addition to his meetings in Lagos, President Tinubu plans to visit Imo State on September 30, 2025. This visit will include the inauguration of various projects executed under the leadership of Governor Hope Uzodimma.

As part of the festivities for Nigeria’s Independence Anniversary, President Tinubu is set to officially inaugurate the remodelled National Theatre, which has now been renamed the Wole Soyinka Centre for Culture and the Creative Arts. This significant cultural venue aims to promote the arts and creativity across the nation.
