Meghan Markle Offers Glimpse into Montecito Home Amid Award News
Meghan Markle recently provided a glimpse into her home in Montecito, California, through a post on Instagram. The 44-year-old former royal shared a photograph of her living room, which featured her beagle, Mia, resting peacefully on a cream armchair. The image highlighted a striking floral arrangement alongside a luxurious £1,490 (approximately $2,000) Hermès throw, drawing attention from her 4.2 million followers.
In her Instagram story, Markle included a caption that read, “Delphinium, Nigella, Veronica – meet As ever. With garden roses and Queen Anne’s lace (and a very sleepy Mia).” This intimate look into her life comes just as Markle and her husband, Prince Harry, prepare for an upcoming trip to New York City.
Recognition for Mental Health Advocacy
According to PEOPLE, the couple is set to accept the Project Healthy Minds’ Humanitarians of the Year Award on October 9, 2023. This accolade recognizes their commitment to advocating for safer online environments for families and young people. The award ceremony will take place at the nonprofit organization’s World Mental Health Day Gala.
The following day, on October 10, Prince Harry and Meghan will participate in Project Healthy Minds’ fourth annual World Mental Health Day Festival. Their organization, the Archewell Foundation, is co-producing discussions focused on mental health issues and the importance of safety in digital spaces.
In a statement to PEOPLE, the couple expressed their dedication to this cause. “Working with families and young people to prioritise safety online has been some of the most meaningful work of our lives,” they said. “As parents ourselves, we have been moved to action by the power of their stories and are honoured to support them. We’re proud to be long-time partners of Project Healthy Minds as we work together to shine a light on what remains one of the most pressing issues of our time.”
This upcoming recognition highlights Markle and Harry’s ongoing efforts in mental health advocacy, reinforcing their commitment to creating a safer digital environment.
