INTEGRA Biosciences Expands Global Reach with CleanNA Investment
INTEGRA Biosciences has taken a significant step to enhance its strategic partnership with CleanNA by acquiring shares in the Netherlands-based manufacturer of reagents. This investment aims to strengthen their collaboration, focusing on expanding CleanNA’s global presence and impact in the molecular biology sector.
The partnership, which began with a private-label distribution agreement for the SPRI MAGFLO TM magnetic beads used in Next-Generation Sequencing (NGS) size selection and PCR purification, has now evolved into a more robust alliance. INTEGRA Biosciences, headquartered in Switzerland, is known for providing advanced laboratory tools for liquid handling and media preparation. The collaboration seeks to integrate magnetic bead-based applications into automated workflows, thereby unlocking new opportunities in the molecular biology market.
Strategic Collaboration to Drive Growth
By investing in CleanNA, INTEGRA Biosciences is reinforcing its commitment to sustainable growth while enhancing its portfolio of bead-based applications. The collaboration now includes an all-encompassing range of liquid handling instruments, consumables, reagents, and modules for magnetic separation.
Urs Hartmann, CEO of INTEGRA Biosciences, emphasized the strategic alignment between the two companies. He stated, “We see a strong strategic fit with CleanNA, whose innovative capabilities perfectly complement our vision for efficient, automated laboratory solutions. This partnership reflects our long-term commitment to sustainable growth, and we are looking forward to supporting CleanNA with the resources to expand its B2C presence and develop new applications.”
CleanNA’s CEO, Glenn Nohar, shared his enthusiasm about the partnership, highlighting its potential to enhance the company’s reach in the B2C market. He noted, “From the very beginning, we felt a strong cultural alignment and shared mission with INTEGRA Biosciences, which made this partnership a natural fit for us. This investment marks an exciting step in our growth, allowing us to integrate our development and production expertise with INTEGRA Biosciences’ robust market presence.”
Expanding Market Opportunities
With INTEGRA Biosciences’ global network of 85 sales representatives and over 100 highly trained distribution partners, both companies are well-positioned to create lasting value and leverage their unique business strengths. The partnership is expected to facilitate innovative product developments and enhance market penetration, particularly in regions where CleanNA seeks to expand its footprint.
As the molecular biology landscape continues to evolve, the collaboration between INTEGRA Biosciences and CleanNA represents a concerted effort to accelerate scientific discovery. By combining their resources, expertise, and market knowledge, the two companies aim to support researchers and laboratories worldwide, ultimately contributing to advancements in life sciences.
This strategic investment not only underscores the commitment of both organizations to innovation but also their dedication to improving laboratory efficiencies and outcomes. The future looks promising for both INTEGRA Biosciences and CleanNA as they embark on this new chapter together.
