Gynaecological Laparoscopic Surgeries Now Offered in Bijelo Polje
The management of the Opšta bolnica Bijelo Polje has announced the introduction of gynaecological laparoscopic surgeries at their facility. This significant advancement means that patients in the region can now access these minimally invasive procedures locally, ensuring greater convenience and improved healthcare options.
Under the leadership of Dr. Kenan Erović, the hospital has acquired the necessary technical and technological equipment to perform these advanced surgeries. The first laparoscopic procedures in gynaecology have already been successfully undertaken, marking a new chapter in the hospital’s offerings.
Dr. Mališa Leković, head of surgery, and Dr. Magdalena Leković, head of obstetrics, carried out the initial laparoscopic interventions on gynaecological organs. These included the treatment of ovarian cysts, ectopic pregnancies, benign tumors, pelvic inflammations, abscesses, and sterilizations, showcasing the diverse range of conditions that can now be effectively managed with minimal invasiveness.
The surgical team received anaesthetic support from Dr. Kenan Erović and Dr. Ranko Čaković, with Dr. Milivoje Stijović assisting. Instrumentation was handled by Balša Rakočević, Danijela Gvozdenović, and Maida Čoković, while the anaesthesia was managed by Denisa Hadrović and Ivana Kljajević. Their collaborative efforts ensured the procedures ran smoothly and efficiently.
Patients have reported significant benefits from these laparoscopic surgeries, with many experiencing quick recovery times. They returned to their daily routines without substantial scars or complications, demonstrating the effectiveness of this surgical approach. The hospital emphasized that these procedures are now a standard offering, available to all who require them.
The introduction of laparoscopic surgery represents a concerted effort by the hospital’s administration, gynaecologists, surgeons, and anaesthesiologists to enhance the health and well-being of the local community. “These procedures are a result of our dedication to improving healthcare services,” hospital officials stated.
The Opšta bolnica Bijelo Polje is committed to providing accessible and high-quality healthcare to the residents of the region, and the addition of gynaecological laparoscopic surgeries is a significant step towards achieving this goal.
