Ryanair Launches Affordable Flights to Rzeszow, Poland for £24.99
Ryanair has introduced a new winter flight route connecting Edinburgh to the lesser-known city of Rzeszow in southeastern Poland. This development allows budget-conscious travelers to explore a unique European destination, with one-way fares starting at just £24.99. Flights will operate twice a week, specifically on Mondays and Fridays, with each journey taking under three hours.
Rzeszow, often overshadowed by more popular cities like Kraków and Gdańsk, offers a rich historical backdrop and a variety of attractions. Visitors will find a charming Market Square, which features the city’s town hall, a castle, and a musical fountain. One of Rzeszow’s most intriguing features is a network of underground cellars, which stretches 396 meters and consists of 25 connected passages dating back to the 14th to 18th centuries. The restoration of these cellars took 17 years and now welcomes visitors for guided tours, available daily.
Travelers can enjoy Rzeszow’s affordability, with a pint of beer priced around £3 and coffee just over £2. Dining options are also budget-friendly, with a typical meal for two at a mid-range restaurant costing about £31, excluding drinks. On average, eating out in Rzeszow is more than 20% cheaper than in Warsaw, making it an attractive choice for those looking to stretch their travel budget further.
Winter Festivities and Summer Activities Await
During the winter months, Rzeszow transforms into a festive haven, featuring a Christmas market that serves mulled wine, hot cider, grilled sausages, and other local delicacies. This seasonal charm adds to the city’s appeal, drawing in visitors looking for a unique holiday experience.
For those considering a summer visit, Rzeszow offers outdoor pools, a riverside lagoon, and numerous al fresco dining options. While it may not be as well-known as its larger counterparts, Rzeszow is emerging as a captivating and affordable alternative for travelers.
Flights to Rzeszow are now available for booking on the Ryanair website, with the route anticipated to continue through the summer season. This development not only highlights Ryanair’s commitment to connecting travelers with diverse destinations but also opens up new avenues for exploring Europe on a budget.
