Chappell Roan has announced a US tour in support of trans youth, pledging to donate $1 from each ticket sold to charities focused on this cause. The tour coincides with the release of her new single, “The Subway,” and will feature pop-up concerts in three cities. Roan’s initiative aims to raise awareness and funds for organizations dedicated to supporting trans youth.

The tour, titled “Visions of Damsels and Other Dangerous Things,” will kick off with four performances at Forest Hills Stadium in New York from September 20 to 24, 2023. Following that, Roan will perform at the Kansas City Museum and Memorial Park on October 3 and 4, before concluding at the Rose Bowl in Pasadena, California, on October 10 and 11.

In a social media announcement, Roan expressed her excitement about the upcoming shows, stating, “I love these three cities so much and wanted the chance to do something special before going away to write the next album.” To ensure accessibility, she emphasized her commitment to keeping ticket prices affordable and preventing scalpers from exploiting fans.

Roan has partnered with Cash App to offer a 15 percent cash-back incentive on purchases made with their Visa debit card. Additionally, she is utilizing a ticketing process called Fair AXS, designed to combat bots and scalpers, ensuring that tickets reach genuine fans.

“Also, we are giving $1 per ticket to organizations dedicated to supporting and providing resources for trans youth in each city,” she noted in her announcement. This philanthropic effort underscores Roan’s commitment to uplifting the trans community while engaging her fans in meaningful ways.

The tour announcement follows the recent tease of her new single, which features lyrics revealing a personal narrative. In one clip, Roan sings, “I made a promise if in four months this feeling ain’t gone I’ll f**k this city / I’m moving to Saskatchewan.” Fans have eagerly anticipated the release, especially after spotting promotional posters that hint at the new music.

In a vibrant promotional campaign, one black-and-white poster portrays Roan nearly concealed by a large wig and facial hair, while another humorously advises, “Going through a break up? Get bangs!” This playful approach resonates with her audience, enhancing the excitement surrounding her upcoming tour and music.

As Roan prepares for her performances and the release of her new album, her dedication to supporting trans youth remains a focal point, inviting fans to join in both celebration and advocacy. With a blend of entertainment and social responsibility, Chappell Roan is poised to make a significant impact in the lives of many young people.
