Faversham Carnival: A Warm Autumn Finale
Crowds in Faversham will need to bundle up for the season’s final carnival, scheduled for 18:30 on October 11. Margate: A Taste of Rio
Margate’s carnival is renowned for its vibrant atmosphere that mirrors the energy of Rio de Janeiro, especially on sunny days. The parade on August 3 at 14:30 at Palm Bay will showcase extravagant costumes, samba dancers, steel bands, and street performers, making it a feast for the senses that locals and visitors alike eagerly anticipate.
Sheerness: Seaside Festival Week
The Sheerness carnival is part of the broader Seaside Festival Week, featuring a diverse lineup of family-friendly activities. Scheduled for August 16 at 16:00 from New Road, this year’s procession will include decorated bikes, vintage vehicles, cosplayers, and local youth groups. The lively atmosphere promises to engage participants of all ages.
Sittingbourne: A Musical Theme
Sittingbourne Carnival has chosen the popular musical “Wicked” as its theme for this year’s event. Taking place on August 24 at 13:00 at Milton Recreation Ground, attendees can expect to see elaborately designed floats inspired by the story, alongside participants dressed as characters from the show. It is a wonderful opportunity for community members to showcase their creativity and enjoy the magic of theater.
