MrBeast Reacts to SNL’s Parody in ‘Beauty and MrBeast’ Sketch
Popular YouTuber Jimmy Donaldson, widely known as MrBeast, has responded to a parody featuring him on the November 9, 2023, episode of Saturday Night Live (SNL), hosted by Nikki Glaser. The sketch, titled “Beauty and MrBeast,” humorously reimagines Disney’s classic “Beauty and the Beast,” with MrBeast taking on the role of the Beast.
In the four-minute sketch, Glaser portrays Belle, while Ben Marshall of the comedy group Please Don’t Destroy embodies MrBeast. The parody retains a musical format reminiscent of the original animated film, but with a twist: instead of breaking a curse, MrBeast captures Belle’s father in a bid to win over $300,000. This comedic take cleverly references Donaldson’s signature challenge videos, which often include extravagant cash giveaways and elaborate stunts.
MrBeast quickly took to social media to share his thoughts after the sketch went viral. “I didn’t know they were gonna talk about me but the second it aired my phone blew up haha. Thought it was funny,” he stated. His response highlights the comedic nature of the parody and reflects his light-hearted approach to being the subject of late-night humor.
The SNL sketch resonated with viewers, who praised the writing and Marshall’s accurate portrayal of the YouTube sensation. With over 250 million subscribers across his platforms, MrBeast has become a prominent figure in both the entertainment and philanthropic worlds, known for his large-scale charitable initiatives and engaging content.
As a frequent target for pop culture references, MrBeast’s blend of philanthropy and entertainment continues to capture the public’s imagination. The SNL episode exemplifies how mainstream media engages with internet culture, showcasing the influence of online personalities in traditional formats.
The humor of “Beauty and MrBeast” serves not only as entertainment but also as a reflection of the evolving landscape of comedy, where internet figures are increasingly woven into the fabric of popular culture.
