Tottenham and Arsenal Battle for Eze as Transfer Window Closes

Tottenham Hotspur is set to rival Arsenal in the race for Crystal Palace attacking midfielder Eberechi Eze, according to reports. As the summer transfer window approaches its deadline, Spurs are keen on acquiring the 27-year-old international. Eze has a £68 million release clause in his contract, which is set to expire two weeks before the window closes. Arsenal has also expressed interest in Eze, but they must first offload players to facilitate any potential deal.
The competition for Eze highlights the ongoing rivalry between Tottenham and Arsenal, particularly as both clubs seek to strengthen their squads ahead of the new season. Spurs are reportedly undeterred by Arsenal’s interest and believe that acquiring Eze could enhance their attacking options significantly.
In related transfer news, five clubs from Italy are monitoring Manchester United striker Anthony Martial. Teams including AC Milan, Inter Milan, Napoli, Juventus, and Fiorentina have all entered the fray for the 22-year-old international. Following the acquisition of Rasmus Højlund, Manchester United is prepared to let Martial leave for an estimated fee of around £40 million.
Meanwhile, AS Roma has made inquiries regarding Manchester United winger Jadon Sancho. The Serie A club has been informed that a bid between €20 million and €25 million would be necessary to secure the 25-year-old, who contributed to seven goals in 31 matches during his loan spell last season. Other clubs are also considering an approach for Sancho, but they too must first clear space in their squads.
Chelsea has entered the conversation for goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma. The Blues are looking to compete with Manchester United for the signature of the 26-year-old. Reports suggest that Paris Saint-Germain would accept an offer of approximately £26 million for Donnarumma, who is seeking a new home after the arrival of a new first-choice goalkeeper. Donnarumma has indicated a preference for a move to the Premier League if he decides to leave the Parc des Princes.
Finally, Liverpool has intensified its interest in young defender Giorgio Leoni. The 18-year-old is listed as a secondary option in their search for a centre-back. Liverpool is reportedly considering making an offer if they are unable to secure their primary target. Leoni, who is an Italy under-19 international, has drawn attention from several clubs across Europe due to his impressive performances in the previous season, where he made 17 league appearances.
As the transfer window nears its conclusion, clubs are eager to finalize their deals and strengthen their squads for the upcoming season. With significant interest in top players, fans will be closely watching these developments as they unfold.
