VitrA Tiles showcased groundbreaking innovations at the Cersaie 2025 exhibition in Bologna, Italy, introducing a new era in sustainable ceramic design. The company transformed its booth into a multi-sensory experience, allowing architects, designers, and customers to explore four thematic zones that highlighted advancements in ceramic technology. Key among these innovations was the unveiling of the V-Tone technology, specifically designed to address the persistent issue of shade variation in tile production.

V-Tone ensures remarkable chromatic consistency, maintaining identical tile colors across production batches. This innovation significantly enhances design uniformity, minimizing the risk of color deviation in projects. VitrA plans to initiate the first investment in V-Tone in March 2026, with full implementation expected by the end of the same year. This technology reduces the multitude of shade variations for a single product to just three, effectively eliminating challenges related to inconsistent colors and mismatched reorders.

In addition to V-Tone, VitrA Tiles introduced TileScape, an app designed to recommend the most suitable VitrA product based on a single photograph. Other highlights included the V-Shape and V-Hygiene solutions, which enhance visual performance and cleanliness, and the Easy Tiling feature, which accelerates installation by up to seven times.

The most significant announcement from VitrA at Cersaie was the launch of the 100% Recycled Porcelain Tile. This innovative tile is made entirely from recycled materials, marking a pioneering initiative in the circular economy and energy sustainability. Developed from VitrA’s internal expertise, this “world premiere” demonstrates the potential of transforming waste into a high-quality product without compromising technical performance or aesthetics.

The new tile employs an exclusive recipe that utilizes 100% production waste. This approach not only fosters a sustainable waste management system but also yields a positive environmental impact by reducing reliance on virgin materials and lowering the overall carbon footprint. The production of the 100% recycled tiles also boasts improved energy efficiency, leading to significant savings in electricity and natural gas.

Traditionally, tiles made from recycled materials often suffer from compromised quality. However, VitrA’s innovation meets all national and international technical standards, reaffirming the company’s commitment to sustainable practices. This development simplifies production processes and integrates research with operational efficiency.

VitrA Tiles, Turkey’s leading exporter of ceramic tiles to the EU, began operations in Tuzla, Istanbul, in 1991, and expanded to Bozüyük, Bilecik, in 1992. With brands such as VitrA, Villeroy & Boch, and engers, the company boasts an impressive annual production capacity of 33 million square meters. VitrA’s Bozüyük facility is notably recognized as the first in the ceramic tile industry to be included in the Global Lighthouse Network, a prestigious list curated by the World Economic Forum that identifies the world’s most advanced production facilities for their Industry 4.0 and digital transformation efforts.

Through its focus on innovation and sustainability, VitrA Tiles has reduced its carbon emissions by approximately 60%, positioning itself as a leader in the European tile manufacturing industry. As the company continues to set new standards, the introduction of V-Tone and the 100% Recycled Porcelain Tile underscores VitrA’s commitment to a more sustainable future in ceramic design.
