Emmerdale’s Natalie J Robb Confirms Future Amid Prison Drama
In a dramatic turn of events on Emmerdale, character Moira Dingle faces serious legal troubles after being charged with the double murder of Anya and Celia Daniels, crimes she did not commit. This storyline has sparked concern among fans regarding the future of actress Natalie J Robb on the long-running soap, but she has confirmed her continued presence on the show.
Speaking to The Mirror, Robb addressed speculation about her departure, stating, “I think that would be the first thing they would say to you, they’d say ‘This is going to be it.’ I’ve been lucky enough just to get another contract, so I think they would obviously have to say, ‘Sorry, you’re going to be leaving and this is going to be your out.'” She expressed surprise at the unfolding storyline, noting, “I just didn’t really know how long I was going to be in for, and how serious the allegations were going to be at that point.”
Moira’s Struggles Amid Crisis
Robb elaborated on Moira’s emotional state during this crisis, revealing, “She just feels like she’s losing everything. She’s got Cain to worry about. In a weird way, I think that’s what’s getting her through where she’s at at the minute. She’s just so overwhelmed by the fact that it’s actually all happening. She can’t believe it.”
As Moira navigates her incarceration, viewers can expect to see physical signs of her struggles, including “the odd black eye and grazed knuckles.” Robb assured fans that Moira will continue to “fight back” despite the overwhelming pressures she faces.
Having been a part of the Emmerdale cast since 2009, Robb is a familiar face to audiences, and her reassurance about staying on the show is likely to bring relief to fans. However, the uncertainty surrounding Moira’s character arc remains, particularly as the Dingle family deals with additional turmoil.
Upcoming Challenges for the Dingle Clan
In a parallel storyline, Moira’s husband, Cain Dingle, is set to receive a diagnosis of prostate cancer, a plot development that will unfold in the coming week. This additional challenge complicates the Dingle family’s situation further, as they navigate both legal issues and health crises.
Emmerdale airs weeknights at 20:00 on ITV1 and is available for streaming on ITVX. Fans can add Emmerdale to their watchlist on the Radio Times: What to Watch app for daily television recommendations.
As Robb continues to portray Moira Dingle, audiences will be watching closely to see how these complex storylines develop and how they impact the beloved character and her family. With an established legacy on the show, Robb’s journey is far from over, promising more twists and turns in the episodes to come.
