Charlotte Defeats Boston 118-89, Extends Winning Streak to Six
The Charlotte Hornets secured a commanding victory over the Boston Celtics on March 15, 2024, winning 118-89 at TD Garden in Boston. This win marks Charlotte’s sixth consecutive victory, while Boston’s three-game winning streak came to an abrupt end.
Charlotte established dominance early in the match, leading by as much as 20 points in the second quarter. The Celtics struggled to regain control, with the Hornets maintaining a firm grip on the game throughout. Charlotte’s success can be attributed, in part, to their impressive ball-handling, as they recorded only four turnovers during the entire game.
Leading the charge for Charlotte was Con Knupel, who contributed 20 points, including an impressive four three-pointers. Teammates Brendon Miller and LaMelo Ball added 18 points each, with Ball also pulling down seven rebounds. Kobi White rounded out a strong offensive showing with 17 points and six assists.
For Boston, Derrick White delivered a standout performance, scoring 29 points, while Jaylen Brown added 20 points, 11 rebounds, and seven assists. Despite their efforts, the Celtics were unable to match Charlotte’s intensity and precision.

In another notable game, the Oklahoma City Thunder edged past the New York Knicks with a narrow 103-100 victory, marking Oklahoma’s fourth consecutive win. Nikola Alexander-Walker topped the scoring for Atlanta with 23 points, while Onyeka Okongwu and Jalen Johnson contributed 21 and 20 points, respectively. Giannis Antetokounmpo paced Milwaukee with 24 points, but the team faced its fourth consecutive defeat.
In Philadelphia, the 76ers managed to pull off a close 106-102 win against the Utah Jazz, led by Tyris Maxey with 25 points. Utah is now facing a challenging streak, having lost their last seven games, with Kejonte George being the standout performer on their side with 30 points.
Finally, the Portland Trail Blazers achieved a 122-114 away victory against the Memphis Grizzlies. Drew Holiday was the star, scoring 35 points and securing 11 rebounds, while Jerami Grant added 30 points. Jaylen Wells was the top scorer for Memphis with 24 points.
As the NBA season progresses, the competitive landscape continues to evolve, with teams vying for playoff positions and striving for momentum ahead of the postseason.
