Paradise Tattoo Studio Hosts Charity Flash Day for Mastectomy Tattoos

On October 4, 2025, Paradise Tattoo Studio in Cheltenham will host its annual charity flash tattoo day, aimed at raising funds for the Mastectomy Tattooing Alliance (MTA). This initiative coincides with Breast Cancer Awareness Month and seeks to surpass last year’s fundraising total of £2,215, which drew long lines of supporters eager to contribute to a worthy cause.
Event Details and Impact
The flash tattoo day will run from 10:00 to 19:00, offering walk-in appointments only. The studio, located at 5 Bath Street, will feature a selection of flash tattoo designs priced between £50 and £150. All profits from the day will be donated to the MTA, a UK charity founded by award-winning tattoo artist Tanya Buxton in 2021. The MTA focuses on raising awareness and improving access to mastectomy and 3D areola-nipple tattoos for those affected by breast cancer, BRCA gene mutations, and gender-affirming surgeries.
The MTA’s Tattoo Flash Day Fundraiser is its largest annual campaign, with 46 studios across the UK contributing to raise over £21,000 in 2024 alone. According to Breast Cancer Now, approximately 55,000 women and 400 men are diagnosed with breast cancer each year in the UK. The funds raised during this event will provide essential financial support through the MTA’s Gift Voucher Scheme, helping more individuals access restorative tattoos that aid in their healing process.
A Community-Centric Celebration
On the day of the event, attendees can expect a festive atmosphere complete with refreshments, snacks, and games. One highlight is the Truth or Dare wheel, a popular game where participants can spin for a chance to win Paradise gift vouchers, merchandise, and other prizes donated by local businesses. Players may also land on a “boobie prize” or get dared to complete fun challenges, adding to the day’s lighthearted nature.
Tanya Buxton emphasized the importance of this event, stating, “At Paradise, we wanted to show our support for the Mastectomy Tattooing Alliance by hosting a charity Flash Day during Breast Cancer Awareness month. It’s a fun way to raise vital funds while also bringing the tattoo community together for a cause that means so much to me personally.”
Buxton highlighted the significance of restorative tattoos as part of the healing journey for individuals impacted by breast cancer and those undergoing gender-affirming surgeries. She expressed, “It’s crucial for us as a studio to support a charity like the Mastectomy Tattooing Alliance, which champions restorative tattooing and makes it more widely accessible.”
Since its inception, Paradise Tattoo Studio has assisted hundreds of clients in regaining their confidence after mastectomy procedures, surgeries, or injuries. The studio offers a range of services, including areola tattooing, scar camouflage, and gender-affirming tattoos, all aimed at empowering clients through the art of tattooing.
This charity flash tattoo day represents a unique opportunity for tattoo enthusiasts and the Cheltenham community to unite in support of a meaningful cause while enjoying a festive atmosphere. For those interested in viewing the tattoo designs in advance, the studio will preview them on its social media platforms.
