Celebrity Traitors Teaser Unveils Release Date and Star-Studded Cast

The highly anticipated series Celebrity Traitors is set to premiere on October 8, 2025, as confirmed by a thrilling teaser trailer released by the BBC. This celebrity edition of the popular reality show has generated excitement among fans, particularly during its reveal on the evening of Strictly Come Dancing.
Viewers were treated to the first glimpse of the show while watching the Strictly performances, which featured celebrities like Alex Kingston and Vicky Pattison in the 2025 season. The trailer showcased the cast gathered around the iconic Traitors table, where they will face intense psychological games filled with deception and strategy.
Star-Studded Line-Up and Unique Format
The cast includes notable names such as Stephen Fry, comedian Joe Wilkinson, and diver Tom Daley, who were warned in the trailer that they could be “murdered” in the game. Host Claudia Winkleman is seen ominously pacing the meeting room, cautioning contestants about the presence of traitors among them. The teaser concludes with the announcement of the premiere date, much to the delight of fans.
Following the trailer’s release, social media erupted with enthusiasm. One fan expressed their excitement on X, stating, “Oh the Celebrity Traitors trailer looks good!” Another chimed in with a GIF from the show Friends, exclaiming, “Oh My God!” as they celebrated the show’s imminent return.
The BBC has also revealed that the launch episode will be extended to 70 minutes, promising viewers a captivating start to the series. Celebrity Traitors will air twice a week, with episodes scheduled for Wednesdays and Thursdays at 21:00.
Playing for Charity and Companion Show Details
Participants in this season will play not just for personal gain, but for charitable causes, with a potential prize fund of up to £100,000 for charities of their choice. In a statement, the BBC noted that the show would feature a multi-award-winning format, emphasizing its complex gameplay involving detection, backstabbing, and trust.
The cast list is impressive, including Alan Carr, Cat Burns, Celia Imrie, Charlotte Church, Clare Balding, David Olusoga, Joe Marler, Jonathan Ross, Kate Garraway, Lucy Beaumont, Mark Bonnar, Nick Mohammed, Niko Omilana, Paloma Faith, Ruth Codd, Tameka Empson, and Tom Daley, all set to navigate the treacherous game.
In addition to the main show, a companion series titled Celebrity Traitors: Uncloaked will air on BBC Two immediately following each episode. Hosted by Ed Gamble, this show will analyze and discuss the unfolding drama with celebrities and former contestants.
