Robert Plant Announces Concerts in Glasgow and Edinburgh Ahead of Album Release

Robert Plant, the legendary frontman of Led Zeppelin, has announced two concerts in Scotland as part of his upcoming tour with his new band, Saving Grace. The shows are scheduled for December 17 at the Glasgow Royal Concert Hall and December 18 at the Usher Hall in Edinburgh. This tour coincides with the release of his new album, generating excitement among fans.

The concerts are part of a ten-date UK tour featuring Plant and his bandmates, including Suzi Dian on vocals and Oli Jefferson on percussion. The ensemble also includes seasoned musicians Tony Kelsey, who plays mandolin and guitar, and Matt Worley, who contributes with instruments like the banjo and quatro. Tickets for these highly anticipated performances will go on sale at 10:00 on September 18, 2023.

Matilda the Musical Hits Glasgow

In addition to Plant’s concerts, Glasgow will also host a major theatrical production: Matilda the Musical. This acclaimed show, produced by the Royal Shakespeare Company (RSC), will be performed at the Theatre Royal from November 18 to December 5, 2026. Based on the beloved book by Roald Dahl, the musical tells the story of a young girl whose vivid imagination and intelligence empower her to change her destiny.

Since its debut in 2010, Matilda has captivated audiences worldwide, reaching over 12 million viewers in more than 100 cities. The production has garnered more than 100 awards, making it one of the most celebrated musicals in recent history. The cast features Richard Hurst as the formidable Miss Trunchbull, Tessa Kadler as the nurturing Miss Honey, and Adam Stafford and Rebecca Thornhill as Matilda’s parents.
