VILLANELLE has launched their dynamic new single, “Measly Means,” as they gear up for a headline tour across the UK in December. This track follows their debut single, “Hinge,” released earlier this year, and serves as a preview of their forthcoming debut EP.

The trio, composed of Gene Gallagher (vocals/guitar), Ben Taylor (guitar), and Jack Schiavo (bass), delivers a powerful blend of hooks and raw energy in “Measly Means.” Gallagher expressed the band’s creative process, stating, “We laboured over [‘Measly Means’] for ages. At first, it sounded too light and lovey, but when Ben added the bends and sustains that made it feel like Smashing Pumpkins, I was like, that’s it.” He noted that the lyrics, written when he was around fourteen, reflect the theme of being hungover.
