Last Chance for Samsung Galaxy S26 Pre-Order Deals Ending Today
Customers looking to secure the latest Samsung Galaxy smartphones have until 11:59 PM on March 10, 2024, to take advantage of significant pre-order offers. The newly announced Galaxy S26 series, which includes the standard Galaxy S26, Galaxy S26+, and Galaxy S26 Ultra, made its debut at Samsung’s Unpacked event in San Francisco last month.
Retailers are offering enticing deals to encourage early orders. Sky Mobile is providing a free Galaxy Watch8, valued at £319, with pre-orders of the S26 and S26+. Those opting for the S26 Ultra will receive a Galaxy Watch8 Classic worth £449 as a complimentary gift. In addition to these smartwatches, customers can upgrade their storage without additional cost, receiving a 512GB model for the price of the 256GB variant.
Pricing and Plans Across Retailers
Sky’s monthly plans start at £30 for the S26, £38 for the S26+, and £44 for the S26 Ultra. Each contract extends for 36 months, but customers can switch to a new device after 24 months at no extra charge. It is important to note that Sky’s contracts come with a basic 100MB data allowance, which may lead users to consider larger packages to avoid running out of data.
Other retailers are also presenting competitive pre-order offers. At Mobiles.co.uk, backed by Currys, customers can secure the standard S26 for £34.99 per month with a 100GB data package and a £9 upfront cost. Three offers an unlimited data plan for £35.89 per month, with a £40 upfront fee, while the S26 Ultra is available for £46.89 monthly plus £50 upfront. Pricing is slightly higher at EE, where the S26 is priced at £47 per month with a £30 upfront fee for a 125GB data package, providing access to EE’s advanced 5G+ network in select locations.
For those preferring to purchase outright, pre-order pricing is consistent across retailers, including Samsung.com and Amazon. The Galaxy S26 series is available in four attractive colours: Cobalt Violet, Black, White, and Sky Blue.
Features and Innovations of the Galaxy S26 Series
The Samsung Galaxy S26 range boasts several advanced features, including an AMOLED display, an Exynos 2600 processor, accelerated wireless charging, and enhanced AI capabilities. The S26 Ultra, in particular, is powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 processor, marking it as the most powerful Galaxy device to date. With a slim 7.9mm frame, it promises exceptional performance for intensive tasks, complemented by advanced AI technology and a 200MP camera.
Technology Editor David Snelling, who attended the Galaxy Unpacked event, highlighted the S26 Ultra’s standout feature: the Privacy Display. He explained, “This very clever screen can now stop prying eyes from glancing at your texts or having a sneaky peek when you punch in your password.” The technology enables the screen’s pixels to shift dynamically, ensuring visibility when viewed straight on, while appearing dim from side angles.
Despite its innovative design, Snelling cautioned about some drawbacks. “Having thoroughly tested it, there’s no way I would have this function switched on permanently. The moment the Privacy Display is activated, Samsung’s dazzling 6.9″ AMOLED screen instantly looks muted and dull,” he noted. He emphasized that while the feature is useful, it compromises the visual experience, making it feel less premium.
Snelling concluded by praising the S26 Ultra as “an incredible device” and recommended it for anyone in the market for a high-end Android smartphone. He also mentioned that while the Privacy Display upgrade has its flaws, it fills a niche that competitors currently do not address.
As the pre-order deadline approaches, customers are encouraged to act swiftly to secure these deals. The Samsung Galaxy S26 series is available for pre-order through various retailers, including Sky Mobile, Three, EE, Samsung, and Amazon.
