Step-by-Step Preparation

To begin, mix the flour, vanilla sugar, a pinch of salt, sugar, baking powder, butter, and the beaten egg together. Form the dough and wrap it in plastic wrap before refrigerating it for about one hour.

While the dough chills, prepare the chocolate cream. Combine the pudding powder and sugar, setting aside a few tablespoons of milk to mix smoothly without lumps. Heat the remaining milk on low until it reaches a boil. Once hot, add the pudding mixture and chocolate pieces, stirring until the mixture thickens.

When the cream is ready, remove it from the heat and incorporate the butter, mixing until smooth. Cover the cream with plastic wrap to prevent a skin from forming, and let it cool.
