The latest update for Helldivers 2, patch 01.003.200, introduces innovative flag combat mechanics alongside several weapon adjustments. This update arrives as the Automatons intensify their efforts to gain control of the Democracy Space Station, a crucial asset for the Super Earth forces. The patch also amplifies chest injury bleed damage, addressing a previous concern where the damage appeared negligible during gameplay. Weapon effectiveness has been adjusted to enhance stunning effects, bayonet-induced staggering, and the fire capabilities of units like the Flame Sentry.

As players explore the new mechanics, they must also prepare for a fresh Major Order that tasks them with defending key locations. The Automatons aim to secure the planets of Claorell, Tarsh, and Gaellivare, which are vital for the operation of the Democracy Space Station. “Enemy troop movements indicate this is only the first of several planned waves of attack,” Arrowhead stated, emphasizing the urgency of the situation.
