US President Donald Trump has publicly criticized the Ukrainian leadership, claiming they have shown a “complete lack of appreciation” for the extensive support provided by the United States during the ongoing conflict with Russia. In a recent post on Truth Social, Trump stated that Ukraine has demonstrated “zero gratitude” despite receiving significant military and financial assistance from the US.

Trump’s Strong Words on Ukraine’s Leadership

In his post, Trump described the war between Russia and Ukraine as “violent and terrible,” asserting that under strong leadership from both the US and Ukraine, the conflict would have never occurred. He emphasized that the war began long before his presidency, attributing its escalation to the current administration under President Joe Biden.

Trump stated, “If the 2020 Presidential Election was not RIGGED & STOLEN, there would be no Ukraine/Russia War,” suggesting that his leadership would have prevented the conflict. He claimed that Russian President Vladimir Putin only decided to invade after observing Biden’s actions. “It was only when he saw Sleepy Joe in action that he said, ‘Now is my chance!’

Trump characterized the ongoing war as a tragedy, noting its devastating human cost. “I INHERITED A WAR THAT SHOULD HAVE NEVER HAPPENED, A WAR THAT IS A LOSER FOR EVERYONE, ESPECIALLY THE MILLIONS OF PEOPLE THAT HAVE SO NEEDLESSLY DIED,” he wrote.

Concerns Over European Actions

Despite his criticisms, Trump expressed sympathy for the individuals affected by the conflict, writing, “GOD BLESS ALL THE LIVES THAT HAVE BEEN LOST IN THE HUMAN CATASTROPHE!” He also pointed out that Europe continues to purchase oil from Russia, raising concerns about the continent’s commitment to the sanctions imposed on Moscow.

While highlighting the US’s contribution, Trump mentioned that the country continues to provide substantial military support to NATO allies, indirectly benefiting Ukraine. He concluded by stating that the current administration has given “everything, free, free, free, including ‘big’ money!” to Ukraine.

The remarks come as the conflict enters its third year, with both sides experiencing significant losses. As discussions about international support for Ukraine continue, Trump’s comments reflect ongoing tensions within US politics regarding the nation’s foreign aid strategy.
