Human Remains Discovered in Search for Missing Man Andrzej Mucha

Authorities have discovered human remains in the ongoing investigation into the disappearance of Andrzej Mucha, who was last seen over five years ago. The remains were found during a search in a field on Grays Park Road in Stoke Poges, Buckinghamshire, as Thames Valley Police collaborated with Polish law enforcement.

Andrzej Mucha, aged 57 at the time of his disappearance, was last known to have contacted his family on November 29, 2021. Initially classified as a missing person, the case transitioned to a murder investigation in April 2022. Two men were subsequently extradited to Poland in November to face trial regarding his disappearance.

Detective Superintendent Andy Howard stated that the search efforts began on February 3, 2025, and the discovery of human remains is a significant development in the investigation. “Sadly, during these searches human remains have been discovered and now recovered from this area,” he remarked.

The formal identification of the remains, along with a post-mortem examination to determine the cause of death, will be conducted in due course. In the meantime, the family of Andrzej Mucha is receiving support from specialist officers, emphasizing the authorities’ commitment to providing assistance during this difficult time.

Detective Superintendent Howard expressed gratitude towards the local community for their cooperation during the search efforts. “I would like to again thank the community for their cooperation while we are in the area carrying out these searches,” he noted.

As the investigation continues, the focus remains on uncovering the circumstances surrounding Andrzej Mucha’s disappearance and providing closure to his family.
